Student Aftermarket Day 2016 had plenty on offer for those attending.

Helping to ensure a bright future for the Automotive Aftermarket industry and those within it is critical. That’s why the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA) through its Young Executive Society (YES) organizes events such as Student Aftermarket Day.

Hosted in conjunction with the Automotive Business School of Canada at Georgian College, the event brings students enrolled in the school’s aftermarket program, out to meet industry leaders and mentors, get a chance to sample the various career paths and business opportunities available and listen to informative presentations.

This year’s event, which took place on November 15 at the Liberty North event venue in Barrie, Ont., featured a guest presentation from Dr. Peter Frise, Professor and Director AUTO21, Mechanical Engineering, University of Windsor, on the future of automotive technology, while two “best-in-class,” student groups had the opportunity to present their own industry studies and arguments. Workshops and an audience contest were also designed to provide active learning and engagement.
